Why Consider Reflexology?

It’s more than a foot massage. Experience the many benefits of reflexology right here at Elegance Sculpting in Parksville, BC.

What is reflexology?

One of the most popular massages, reflexology goes far beyond its feel-good effects. When pressure is applied to specific reflex points on the foot, these points correspond and alleviate organs and other areas of the body.

Although foot reflexology is the most common, reflexologists also utilize a similar technical to work on the hands or ears.

What to expect during your reflexology appointment

Depending on which service you choose with our resident reflexologist, Caroline Dalton, your reflexology treatment can last anywhere from 30-60 minutes. We recommend arriving to the spa between 10-15 minutes early to check in at the front desk, use the washroom and get situated before your treatment.

If it is your first time trying reflexology, we recommend consulting your doctor prior to beginning treatment. Reflexology is not recommended if you are pregnant or for individuals with foot concerns (such as an injury or blood vessel disorder associated with clots or varicose veins).

Just like with any massage, we recommend hydrating immediately post-treatment to help flush the toxins and lactic acid buildup that can occur. It is also recommended that you wait  one hour after your reflexology treatment before eating.
