Yes! This is an advanced treatment that requires you follow the post-care instructions of your technician. During your consultation or first session, your laser technician will review all of the post-care instructions in detail—some of the instructions may cause you to alter your daily activity for two to three weeks after each session and one week before your next one, which booked after 6-8 weeks. As the process includes naturally scabbing, be mindful when you begin your treatment. For example, if you have a wedding coming up, give yourself at least a month prior to heal.

After each session, you’ll need to keep the area cool to reduce irruption. This could mean using a cold compress on the area for an hour or two post treatment, but also means staying out of the direct sun, hot tubs or saunas.

For the first 48 hours, you’ll need to keep the area completely dry. Warm showers are permitted after 48 hours as long as the area is gently washed with uncounted soap.

The natural process that your body goes through post-treatment will involve scabbing. We recommend utilizing aftercare ointment (coconut oil, vitamin E, etc.) to keep the area fully moisturized.

Direct sunlight of the treatment area should be avoided as much as possible throughout the entire process. The treated skin will be more sensitive to the sun’s powerful rays and exposure could lead to burning, sun damage or scarring. If direct sunlight cannot be avoided, be diligent with reapplying your SPF of 30 or greater every hour.
